Our flair kaufbeuren was very clean and modern but very small. The room size is consistent with a budget hotel and not what we expected. We both banged ourselves on the furniture Apparently larger rooms are available but the small room is the default. A kettle was provided but we had to go to reception for tea bags. Also we needed extra pillows so that we could sit up in bed. We also had an evening meal and can heartily recommend eating there. The food was excellent, as was their house wine. The service was first class and the price very reasonable. Stayed there on business for a couple of nights. Outside area looking a bit run down and could do with a freshen up. Room basic with a typical useless German pillow. No good to man nor beast. Flair kaufbeuren menu was very German but ok and breakfast was similar. Did actually sleep quite well, nice room temperature. Good shower in the morning but it was noisy. The title of this review is not meant to negative, just the opposite. The Flair in Kaufbeuren is German and a great place to stay. My first night I was in bed by 2100 jet lag and up by 2200 for a fire alarm. Very inconvenient, but it left me with a story. The fire was very small and instantly contained but we had to wait down stairs for the local fire department to bless the place as safe before returning to our rooms. The bonus was a free beer while we waited. Little things one might be accustomed to with U. For example, no in room coffee or iron. Bright side, it gets you out of your room. This is now my hotel of choice when I have business in Marktoberdorf. No idea when we poor non guests will ever get some sleep but at least the happy couple and their guests have their needs met. My husband comes here a few times a year for business and the firm put us up here. Free is too expensive and we'll stay elsewhere in the future unless we get invited to a wedding, I guess. This is a great little hotel. My wife and Flair kaufbeuren stayed here for 1 night for an international wedding. We had such a good time. The facilities that have available for a wedding were perfect. The food was good and the drinks were great as well. They also have a nice restaurant attached which worked out well since you are a little bit out of town at this hotel. The room was nice and modern. I would recommend this hotel to any one that is passing through or for your wedding.
